La Casa

We found this lovely little restaurant based on a quick Google search. We were very hungry and this was the nearest place where we could eat. I felt welcome, and there was a relaxed atmosphere, with Italian music in the background. Food was delicious, although the Tiramisu was a little bit too creamy, I could not taste the mascarpone much. To summarise, we enjoyed our visit, it's a cosy, family-friendly restaurant.

From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere transported me straight to Italy. If you're looking for an authentic Italian dining experience, look no further. This restaurant is a true gem, and I can't wait to go back!

Booked here for a friend's birthday as we were staying nearby for the night. The waitress was lovely and met all our needs. The food was outstanding and prices very reasonable. Would recommend the lasagne and the calamari as our favourites of the evening.

We ordered a variety of items,pizza, pasta, calzone, and different garlic breads with toppings,and every single one was outstanding. The flavors were rich, fresh, and perfectly balanced. The pizza base was light yet crisp, the calzone was generous and packed with flavor, and the pasta tasted like true Italian comfort food, but with a refined touch that made it even better than many places I’ve tried in Italy. The garlic breads are worth mentioning separately, as they were delicious and came with inventive toppings that elevated a simple dish into something memorable. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. The interior is small, which adds to the charm, but it also means the restaurant gets very busy. I would strongly recommend booking in advance if you want to be sure of a table. There are only a handful of tables inside, plus a small patio space with one table for those who want to enjoy their meal outdoors. Overall, La Casa delivers amazing food and a heartfelt dining experience. It’s not just a restaurant, it feels like being welcomed into an Italian family’s home for dinner. A must visit if you’re anywhere near Nutley or Ashdown Park.

We just had a beautiful meal for three people. The atmosphere was very friendly and family orientated. I had one of the best meals of my life.

It is a very little restaurant. The food was good, the service was very good, The tiramisu not as good as I would expect from an Italian restaurant, could not taste the mascarpone cheese. I love tiramisu but I’ve had better. Overall good prices and food was good and well presented. The restaurant was clean and food was served quickly. Definitely recommend.

Its not often I can give 5 stars but in this case I can. The ambiance was nice and cosy.. not too overdone but not too formal.. Just some little candles and some Italian music in the background. The food was really good.. he had the peperoni pizza and she had aubergine pasta. Pizza cooked in a wood fired oven and the pasta, aldente.. the dough of the pizza tasted quite different.. it was thick and puffy but when it went down felt like it disappeared, and the hot honey topping was just fantastic. Draught Peroni to wash it down.. sumptuous. Lots on the menu and staff very friendly and welcoming (thank you Evie).. if you're in the area and you fancy some comforting Italian food.. this is the place.
